Antler Hunting Season in Wyoming
Ask the Game & Fish

Q. "What is the antler hunting season in Wyoming?" A. There are no established dates when antlers can be picked up in Wyoming. But, many of the Game and Fish's habitat management areas and some winter ranges on federal land are closed to human access through winter and spring to protect big game from disturbance. So, antler hunting is off limits on those areas until they reopen. Antler hunters are encouraged to check with their local Game and Fish, Bureau of Land Management or forest service office about access restrictions before heading out. Antler hunters are cautioned not to harass big game when afield and to pack bear spray when in the grizzly bear range of northwest Wyoming. Remember also, that antlers connected to a skull cannot be removed from the site before contacting a game warden.
