Senator Michael Von Flatem (R) of Gillette is suggesting that one way to solve Wyoming’s problem of the rising cost of maintenance of Interstate 80 might be to turn it into a toll road. Interstate 80 is the major east-west interstate highway that crosses southern Wyoming. Under a toll road management system, vehicles using the road, and causing the majority of the wear and tear, would contribute directly to the cost of the maintenance.
