Snow & High Wind Advisory
Avalanche Watch

The National Weather Service out of Riverton has issued an Avalanche Watch and Snow Advisory for western Wyoming for early Thursday.
The areas impacted by the advisory include the Upper Green River Valley, Salt & Wyoming Ranges, Upper Wind River Basin, Yellowstone National Park, Absaroka Mountains, East Sweetwater County and Flaming Gorge areas, Jackson Hole, Rock Springs, Tetons and Gros Ventre mountains.
Six to 10 inches of snowfall is expected in the western Wyoming mountains Wednesday night with 2-5 inches falling in the valleys.
Teton and Togwotee Pass will have slick and snow-covered road conditions.
A High Wind Warning is in effect for portions of western and central Wyoming through Wednesday night. Very strong west to southwest winds of 40 to 50 mph are expected east of the Continental Divide Thursday night through Friday morning. Gust of 60-75 mph will occur across Natrona County including the city of Casper, South Pass, the Green Mountains, the Cody Foothills and the Absaroka Mountains.
More snowfall is expected with another storm that will arrive in western Wyoming on Thursday and Friday, bringing 8-12 inches of snow to the mountains. Valleys can expect 4-6 inches of new snow.
Another storm will roll through on Sunday and Monday bringing more snow to much of Wyoming.
