International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race

The 12th Annual International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race (IPSSSDR) is coming to Pinedale again and now to Big Piney/Marbleton. Here’s the schedule of events for our area.
Sunday, January 28: Mushers Arrive in Pinedale 3:00 PM – Chamber Doggy Fashion Show Bring your friendly dog in costume to the Heritage Room at the Sublette Center in Pinedale and compete for a variety of prizes including a great County Hideaway with Porch Dog House for “Best in Show.” Don’t want to “show” your dog? Then come anyway for this very fun and funny fashion show! Refreshments will be provided by the Sublette Center. Sponsored by the Sublette County Chamber of Commerce, 307-367-2242. 6:30 PM – Pinedale Banquet & Calcutta at Rendezvous Pointe Live music by Jackson band, Global Review, food and beer by Bottoms Up Brewery. Door prizes and a Calcutta auction. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12, but if you bring a pot luck dessert, it’s FREE!
Monday, January 29: Pinedale Stage Stop 9:00 AM – Pinedale Stage Race Starts in the parking lot at the Bridger-Teton National Forest boundary on Hwy 352 at the end of the pavement on the way to Green River Lakes. Teams will travel to Pinedale along the Continental Divide Trail on the east side of Highways 352. They are expected to arrive in Pinedale between 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM. The Finish Line is on north Madison Avenue along the west side of the American Legion Park. The road will be blocked to vehicle traffic, but you can get to the parking lot by going west one block and circling around. Sled dog teams will travel along the north side of Highway 191 and into town on Pine Street, riding along the sidewalk trail. This is one of the most viewer-friendly stretches of the IPSSSDR. View points for teams include the Duck Creek turn offs and side streets and parking lots along Highway 191. Spectators are encouraged to meet at the Finish Line and cheer the teams as they arrive. Bottoms Up Brewery will have fajitas and beer concessions at the Finish Line. IPSSSDR t-shirts, sweatshirts and hats will be available for purchase.

Tuesday, January 30: Big Piney/Marbleton Stage Stop 9:00 AM – Big Piney/Marbleton Stage Race Starts at Middle Piney parking lot. Race to Alpine.
