The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s comment period for the listing of the Greater Sage-grouse under the Endangered Species Act closes Friday, June 27, 2008. The comment period was extended an additional 30 days from the original May 27 deadline. Comments are not being accepted by e-mail or fax.

Comments may be submitted by one of the following methods:
• Federal eRulemaking Portal: http://www.regulations.gov. Follow the instructions for submitting comments.
• U.S. mail or hand-delivery: Public Comments Processing, Attn: FWS–R6–ES–2008–0022; Division of Policy and Directives Management; U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service; 4401 N. Fairfax Drive, Suite 222; Arlington, VA 22203.

All comments, and names of people posting comments, will be posted on will post all comments on http://www.regulations.gov.

A decision on whether to list the Greater Sage-grouse is expected from the agency by December.
