According to an article that appeared in the August 9, 2008 online edition of Numismatic News, a double die flaw has been found in some Wyoming state quarters.

The flaw is caused by a tilted die which wobbles in the stamping process which, causing a second impression made in the coin. In this case, the ghost impression is found around the lower portion of the saddlehorn.

The value of a double die coin depends on a number of factors, including the rarity, type and position of the flaw.
