Town of Pinedale Ordinance update workshop June 15

The Town of Pinedale has a new Listserv which will email out periodic updates on Town of Pinedale Planning and Zoning Workshops regarding the zoning ordinance update and any other relevant planning information.
The next upcoming workshop will be held on Monday, June 15th at 5:30 PM at the Town Hall.
This workshop will discuss a possible site plan ordinance. The recent site plan ordinance 442 has been postponed to collect public discussion, and will likely be re-written based on the comments received. The site plan ordinance would likely amend or replace the current commercial building permit process. If you cannot attend but would like to comment you can contact me directly at the Town Hall. Please note this will just be a discussion, an actual ordinance is not proposed at this time.
In other news, several Town of Pinedale (& County) representatives recently attended the "Building the Wyoming We Want" Conference in Casper. It is a statewide initiative to discuss development at the local level. This initiative will tie nicely into the current zoning update. The initiative recently completed a "Wyoming Values" study which is available on their website along with more information about the initiative.

Editor’s Note: See the links below for a copy of the latest revised version of Site Plan Ordinance 442 (as of May 2009). Also below is a link to a Town of Pinedale spreadsheet from May, 2009 showing projected costs related to impacts to the Town from population increases and demand for services. This document lines out direction for proposed growth to the Town of Pinedale government, including a new $5.5 million Town Hall, adding 7 new public works employees over the next 10 years at a minimum of $60,000/year each total cost (salary plus all wage benefits), adding an additional 2-3 staff members to Planning & Zoning at a minimum cost of $50,000 each (salary plus all benefits), $10-12 million over the next 5 years to maintain and upgrade the existing water system, $100-150,000 to upgrade and create new building codes, $38 million to bring old sewer up to modern standards, among other line items.
