Road work soon on the Upper Green
by Bridger-Teton National Forest
September 24, 2009
PINEDALE – Road work is planned for a few roads on the Bridger-Teton National Forest on the Pinedale Ranger District. Travelers on the Forest Service Roads 680 (Moose-Gypsum) and 650 (Green River Lakes) should expect delays and road work in the coming weeks. Contractors for the Bridger-Teton National Forest and Forest personnel will be completing road improvement projects in the Upper Green starting Wednesday, September 23, 2009 thru October 9, 2009. Starting September 23, the Moose - Gypsum Road will have equipment and haul trucks spot graveling portions of the first 5-miles of road beginning at the Forest boundary. This work is expected to last a minimum of 2-weeks.
On Tuesday, September 29, a culvert will be replaced on the Green River Lakes Road. A delay of up to two-hours could be experienced by travelers during the culvert replacement operation. The culvert work is expected to be completed by the end of that day.
These projects will improve the conditions of these heavily used roads, and the Bridger-Teton appreciates the public’s cooperation and patience while this work is being completed.
