‘Killing Us Softly 4’ documentary Oct 19 & 21

The Sublette County Sexual Assault/Family Violence (SAFV) Task Force and the Sublette County Library are sponsoring two showings of the documentary "Killing Us Softly 4" which explores current magazine and television advertisements that use gender stereotypes, "images and messages that too often reinforce unrealistic, and unhealthy, perceptions of beauty, perfection, and sexuality as well as contribute to violence against women." Showings will be on Tuesday, October 19th at 5:30 pm at Pinedale Cinemas, 153 S. Entertainment Lane, in Pinedale, and on Thursday, October 21st, at 5:30 pm at the Big Piney branch of the Sublette County Library, at 106 Fish Street. Both events are free and open to the public. Following the documentary, Robin Clover, Executive Director of the SAFV Task Force, will lead a discussion.
