BLM seeks public input on Anticline Adaptive Management
Accepting public comment until Monday, December 20th

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Pinedale Field Office (PFO) is seeking public comment on proposed adaptive management measures for the Pinedale Anticline Project Area (PAPA).
Earlier this year, the BLM requested review of the 2008 Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) Record of Decision (ROD) Wildlife Monitoring and Mitigation Matrix. The University of Wyoming Cooperative Fish & Wildlife Research Unit (COOP) conducted the review and submitted its recommendations this summer.
In response, the BLM and Wyoming Game & Fish Department developed an "Agency Response to the UW COOP Review" which included adaptive management changes to the Matrix for mule deer, antelope, and Sage-grouse. After a review team of biologists from the BLM and Wyoming Game & Fish Department examined the elements of the Agency Response, it was determined that the changes were needed, that they required immediate implementation, and that additional NEPA planning was not required.
However, prior to implementing these proposed adaptive management changes, the BLM is asking for public comments until Dec. 20. The review team will then be convened to evaluate the comments and make final recommendations.
