Nonresidents are reminded that only two weeks remain to apply for elk licenses. Application deadline this year is Monday, January 31.

Hunters can either apply online at http://gf.state.wy.us or through the mail. However, hunters applying through the mail should allow plenty of time to get their applications to the Cheyenne office. Applications must be received in the Cheyenne office - not just postmarked - by 5 p.m. on Jan. 31 to be included in the drawing. Currently, more than 70 percent of hunters are using the online process to apply for licenses issued in Game and Fish drawings. Deadline times are for both online and paper applications.
