Master Gardener classes begin Jan. 25 in Pinedale

Do you want to learn more about gardening in the Pinedale area? Are you just getting started as a gardener, or are you looking to fine tune your gardening skills? The Master Gardener program is a great program that is full of information for all levels of gardening ability. The program is packed full of useful information to make everyone a more successful gardener here in Pinedale.
Just what can we grow here in Pinedale? Actually, we can grow a good variety of plants, but there are some tricks to learn. You will learn: what plants are best suited for our climate, how to extend the growing season, how to look for and create micro climates, etc.
So what’s up with the white specks on the needles of my pine tree? What is causing all of these tunnels in my lawn? How come the leaves are curling on my lilac bush? What are these black spots on the leaves of my aspen trees? You will learn the answers to these common questions and many more, and how to best manage your plants to avoid the conditions.
The cost of the program is $100.00, but most participants agree that the Master Gardener Handbook alone is worth more than $100.00. The classes will begin Tuesday January 25th and will be weekly until March 15th. The classes will be held in the Sublette County Weed and Pest Building from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
