Two injured in ATV accident in the Wyoming Range

On Saturday August 10th Sublette County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Sublette County EMS and Tip Top Search and Rescue (TTSAR) responded to an ATV crash in the area of South Cottonwood. Sublette County dispatch had received a report that a side by side ATV had plummeted down a steep slope and crashed in a ravine, two people were reported injured.
Air ambulances from Eastern Idaho and Guardian Flight were activated and the Sublette County contract short-haul helicopter responded to the area of the crash. The short haul helicopter and TTSAR members were able to extract the injured parties and transfer them to the life-flight helicopters which had arrived nearby. From there they were flown to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for further treatment.
The investigation is being conducted by United States Forest Service law enforcement as the crash occurred on the Bridger Teton National Forest.

The victims in this incident reportedly went over a cliff in the vicinity of Soda Lake in the Wyoming Range. The accident happened around 1AM. Both riders were ejected and neither was wearing a helmet. According to our sources, there were injuries, but thankfully no fatalities in this incident. The names and ages of the victims have not been released.
