Appalachian Trail endurance hiker to give talk at the Pinedale Library Oct. 2

"Records are made to be broken," says long-distance hiker Jennifer Pharr Davis. The Sublette County Library in Pinedale will host a presentation by ‘2012 National Geographic Adventurer of the Year,’ Jennifer Pharr Davis on Wednesday, October 2nd at 6:30 pm talking about her record breaking feats along the Appalachian Trail. This three-time Appalachian Trail endurance hiker believes the trail is there for everyone at every phase of their life. She currently holds the overall record on the Appalachian Trail, having completed the 2,181 mile trail in 46 days—an average of 47 miles per day. Jennifer has trekked over 12,000 miles on six different continents and has recently released "Called Again: A Story of Love and Triumph" which has been described as "an inspired exploration of the meaning of commitment."
