Rendezvous Street Dance June 9th
July 5, 2016
Main Street Pinedale will be hosting the 2nd Annual Rendezvous Street Dance as part of this year’s Green River Rendezvous events. There will be a free dance lesson on Saturday, June 9 beginning at 6:30 pm. The dance lessons will be followed by a headlining set by Palomino Shakedown at 7:30 pm. Both the dance lessons and concert will be free and will take place on a blocked off Maybelle Avenue (in front of Stockman’s). All ages are welcome and no dance experience is necessary.
Headlining band Palomino Shakedown is a nationally touring soulful honkey-tonk band from Austin, Texas. They most recently played Pinedale as part of the Pinedale Fine Arts Council’s Soundcheck Summer Music Series last summer.
This year’s dance instructor will be local instructor Frances Cuprill owner of Rendezvous Dance and Cheer. Cuprill will be teaching country and two-steppin’ lessons before turning her new students loose when Palomino Shakedown hits the stage.
Following the street dance Stockman’s Bar will be throwing a big after party with live music of their own featuring Matthew & the Hope.
Main Street Pinedale will be selling hotdogs and other refreshments.
The Second annual Rendezvous street dance is presented by Main Street Pinedale with support from the Wyoming Arts Council, Farm Bureau Insurance, and Town of Pinedale.
