BLM Pinedale Field Office hosts National Public Lands Day event Aug. 25
Project to construct a picnic area at the New Fork River access near Boulder

PINEDALE, WYOMING - The Bureau of Land Management Pinedale Field Office (PFO) is inviting families, individuals, clubs and organizations to help construct a picnic area at the New Fork River river access, located south of Boulder, Wyoming. The construction project is scheduled for Saturday, August 25th.
The group will be constructing picnic tables as the day’s project. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to participate. Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. at the BLM PFO, located at 1625 W. Pine Street in Pinedale. The group will then travel to the site and start construction at 9:00 a.m. The event will run until approximately 2:00 p.m.
Proper work attire such as gloves, hat, long pants, sturdy shoes and safety glasses should be worn as needed. Sunscreen and insect repellant are recommended. Water, gloves, and safety glasses will be provided, as well as National Public Lands Day t-shirts, participation certificates and national park access passes.
This program is part of the Bureau of Land Management’s mission to connect communities to public lands and to America’s natural and cultural heritage. National Public Lands Day began in 1994 with 700 volunteers and three sites, and has increased in interest and participation over time.
