Kaylynne Sims shared photos she took of the light pillars over Pinedale on Monday night, February 10th. A light pillar is an atmospheric optical phenomenon of a vertical beam of light which appears to extend above a light source. The effect is created by the reflection of light from tiny ice crystals that are suspended in the atmosphere.
