PINEDALE, WYOMING - Deputy Dan Ruby began his career with the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office in September 2002 in the Detention Center. At that time, the Detention Center was under new construction and consisted of a series of temporary trailers parked on the lawn in front of the Sublette County Justice Building.
In December of 2006, Deputy Ruby transferred to Patrol. Deputy Ruby became a K9 handler with K9 Max from 2009 to 2014 and was transferred to work probations from 2011 to 2013. Deputy Ruby went back to patrol in 2013 and remained working patrol until his retirement date. Deputy Ruby won’t be far away after his retirement and will remain at the Sheriff’s Office after his retirement transitioning from Law Enforcement to records clerk next week.
We would like to share with our community in congratulating and celebrating Deputy Ruby on his years of service and retirement as he will finish his final patrol shift today (December 15, 2022). Our deepest gratitude goes out to Dan and his family for his commitment to this office and the sacrifice and service he provided to the citizens of Sublette County. We wish him all the best in his retirement and new role! Thank you! Deputy Dan Ruby.
